Cirqle is a mobile messaging product we built for an Amsterdam-based startup that wanted a calmer alternative to noisy group chats. The app targets communities that actually plan things together — book clubs, travel groups, design crit circles — with readable threads, expressive reactions, and admin tooling that stays out of the way until you need it.

The founders relied on fragmented WhatsApp groups and Slack workspaces that felt either too casual or too corporate. They needed a dedicated mobile experience with clear group roles, reply threading, emoji reactions, and member management — without the complexity of enterprise chat tools.
We delivered a React Native app with a searchable chat inbox, rich group conversations with read receipts and inline reactions, quote-reply threading, long-press message actions, and a bottom-sheet group settings panel for renaming, roles, and inviting friends. Illustrated avatars and a warm cream-and-forest palette give the product a friendly, premium feel across chat list, conversation, and moderation flows.
Group engagement
Quote-reply threading and emoji reactions kept book-club and hobby groups active without switching back to WhatsApp.
Admin clarity
Owner, admin, and member roles with inline moderation actions reduced confusion in groups above ten participants.
Launch readiness
Shipped iOS TestFlight build with push notifications, real-time sync, and onboarding flows ready for App Store review.
